Mouth feel? Please describe the problem. It tastes hot or slick or sweet?
My tasting mood seems to change from time to time. Sometimes I like the fresh stuff straight from the still, sometimes after its been aired out a few days or even weeks. Sometimes I prefer the aged on oak. Sometimes I prefer corn based and other times I like the rice or sorghum based. I do like to mix it up a bit and not enjoy one until its all gone.
WTG, @Lloyd! Once the booze is in the bottle it doesn't hold that long, that goes especially for fruit brandy. Light can break down the flavor, which is why fruit brandy often comes in colored bottles. Better not let it sit that long, aging if for barrels. ;)
