That particular sparkling lemonaide is very much like a sweet tonic water.
I drink my Hendricks straight up. I drink all of my gins straight up. I figure if I, or someone else worked so hard to get the botanicals just so, where's the sense in fucking it up with mixers?

@Smaug - yes, an incredible concoction of malty sweetness that unfortunately, as I understand it, is no longer produced. My buddy keeps it under lock and key when I visit :((
@Smaug - I may have caused confusion here, my buddy is not the producer, he is the guy lucky enough to still have a bottle of the stuff he picked up on his last visit to the Experimental Brewery in Munich. The Malzlikor was a high ABV "one off" product produced several years ago. I had the chance to try it there in 2009 and was simply stunned at the complexity of the malt flavors in the 33% ABV product. If I could re-create this, oh man, I would...

Glad somebody took those glasses, they were supposed to be comped and everyone left them, I have 4 myself.
Very nice sampling glasses.
They'll be in a whole gaggle of GABF sampling glasses back at the ranch.

I started to, but was afraid they'd just get broken on the way back.

Never heard of unadultering a Hendrick's gin with lemonade. Has to be the first.

What about Country Time powdered lemonade?
Is that stuff any more than just sugar, citric, and artificial color?
Probably. What about Great Value lemonade? You know, Walmart's brand?
Most products in Australia also have Emu Saliva in them.

Not bad
Is that what you mix with your Great Value gin?

A wonderful evening... Local Vodka & Gin, splendid smoked salmon meal, Grappa and then... the elusive Bavarian Malzlikor...
All excellent.
Hi Skaal,
What is Bavarian Malzlikor? Malt liquor?

Maybe he could post how it is made?
