Decent hole saw bit, slow speed, steady pressure and cutting oil and it will chew through one after another for hours. Hole saws work great for stainless, but you need to use the $40 tools not the $6 ones.
Trying to do any of this stuff with cheap tools just does not work.
I hacked a hole with a cutting disk then cleaned up the hole after it was welded with a tungsten die grinder (from the inside).
My power is supplied by a L14-30R (4 prong) outlet. In my brewery control box the ground terminates to a ground bus, and the sockets for my elements are 3 wire.
How do I run the 4 wire into a project box, use the SCR, and get to a 3 wire cord for the element?
Can I not use one of the prongs. in the 4 wire? That would make it easy!!!

Nice work, you the welder or your brother?
Took the liberty and removed your car plates...

Little brother is the welder
Thx for the photoshop
Just realized that because I used a keg my brother had, I still have a keg at the house that will now become a mash tun, especially for corn mashes.
I also picked up some extra stuff my lil bro had. A small cutting torch set up with brazing tips and a 4 1/2 inch grinder.
And after watching what a quality hole saw will do to a keg, making holes is about to get much easier
The keg I converted laughed at my hole saw. SS I found out is a MF to saw.

I used carbide grit hole saws to cut the holes in my keg, and with low speed, steady pressure, and cutting oil, just as advertised, it works great.

Cheap tools?
I'm more like I am now than I was before.
OK, new question
I have an Electric Motor Speed Controller.

Going to ask in this thread because I don't think a new one needs to be started
In the Dash manual there is a picture of a "pot shot". Is that offered as a complete set up?

Either of the 1st two set-ups, I like the 2nd, the best, but $$$ might come into play.
Is there a better email or contact I can use to start a conversation?
Thanks

I'd recommend saving till you had enough for the long condensor. I suspect the medium would leave you wanting to be able to put more power to it.

I've got the long one installed and with my water system I wouldn't go smaller. (I'm only running 2.2kW)

This works for me.
The riser is full of copper packing too.
I like it!!!
I do the bend a bit different though.
I can swing to any angle this way and also get a sensor in there.
You can also use a second 90 bend to make it angle adjustable (but not the Electric Parrot sensor).

I just want to thank everyone in this thread, and the amazing people at SDNA for taking the time to help this noob move forward.
I like the Modular pot set up that I was helped to put together, and while it does increase the overall budget, it is well worth it.
Now, where did I put my money bag....lol
Thanks for everything!
