I want a barrel, but they look a bit rough, plus it may just take me a while to produce enough to fill it up !
Lets see, I average 1 run a month, collect 25 lt @ 80 % ..... how long to fill 2750lt @ 40% ??
I'm 52 already, so when do I stop ?
I had to work this out. work was annoying me & I needed a distraction.....
I reckon you need to fill at 65% not 40%.
@ 65% your 25l becomes almost 31 litres so you'll need to do 89 runs. At 1 per week, you'll fill it in 1.7 years but if you only do 1 a month it'll take you 7.4 years
However if you insisted on filling at 40% your 25l becomes 50 litres so you'll need to do 55 runs. At 1 per week, you'll fill it in just over 1 year, but at 1 per month you're looking at 4.6 years

Hah! Your engineering geek is showing! :))
I'm the same way. As soon as I see a question like that the numbers automatically start running in my head. I have to make a concentrated effort to keep it from happening. Mostly I just let it run. Drives my wife crazy...
Just picked up a 40gal one looking just like that. Anyone with a good ideas on how to get the smell (garlic) out?
Was thinking about pouring in some PBW and dosing it around for a couple of days...

Mine was a FAT but a bit too much bourbon was consumed during its construction.
It could lob stubbies over the back fence but not much else.
