If Arya underestimated smug bitch to the extent that she did, even after all her training, she is a goner. I mean - how rookie is that? Why was she in public? She should have known. Why did she smile at the old lady? What was all the nonsense about getting needle back and sitting in a dark room? Nuts.
The hound didn't pick up the axe to fight - he picked it up to cut down the septon and finish the temple. The hound is lame, they showed him stumble with the log.

Originally I thought the battle to retake Winterfell would happen this season, but it doesn't seem like that is the case?
I don't know. Next episode is named "Battle of the Bastards" - so it sure sounds like Ramsay and Snow are going to go head to head. BUT - they've not managed to raise an army. Blackfish is dead. Tully clearly sworn allegiance to the Lannisters. What Army?
With Arya heading back to Winterfell - I don't see how she can get back in time, re-unite with the long-lost family, and get ready to take part in the battle - if she even would.
Now you've got a whole other arc going on back in Mereen, with Kahleesee back there with the dragons - and her fleet of ships in transit.
And who did Sansa write the letter to? Baelish? What army is he going to muster up? The Vale? How many men do they have? Pleading to her enemy? What will Snow think?
well the ships in the harbor maybe hers soon enough now that she is back in Maureen...
i mean the masters may sling fire bombs but alas she has the dragon air force on call... fire balls ain't nothin... B-)
I read there will be no previews of the last two episodes of the year... so the season finale could be 2 hours ? as they have the previews out for next weeks show..

Yes, I think Margary could rival Cercei in the 'hell hath no fury' stakes. I also hope Arya gives it to that smug bitch.
@Maltycultural It looks like the smug bitch won round 1. I can't wait for round 2.
You see the fan theory that smug bitch and Arya are the same person?

Seems a little far fetched... so far, all the speculations I read about have been wrong. I'll just sit back an enjoy.

And only 3 episodes left this season?
Not to mention the coming slaughter of the remaining Starks at Winterfell.
@grim That's an interesting theory. Unlike many of the theories out there now, it does make a little sense, but what would it do for the plot?
Also, the Hound being back is great. It'd be nice to see an Arya/Hound reunion. I wish Ian McShane stayed around a bit longer...great actor.

Another good theory is that it wasn't Arya stabbed, but Joqen. It doesn't matter who dies as long as the price paid.
Ian McShane's role certainly was a flash.

"A girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell, and I'm going home. Great Line...
I think the hound is sufficiently reinstated
Good show hound
Good episode. Plenty of tough females in the show, with lots of damaged men.

Hmm, should have asked Doctor Google.

Damn that looks good.
Maybe some more red woman magic - although her track record sucks when it comes to battle.
Interesting, if you pause the preview towards the end, you see what look to be multiple giants in the background.
I thought there was only one left?
She sent the crow out remember... i think to the vale... Little Finger owes her
Starks/Snow will make an alliance with the Mother of Dragons. She loans them a Dragon, Winterfell will be there first stop.
DAD... not yours.. ah, hell... I don't know...
Everyone wants a piece of those dragons, and she really can't seem to get much done with them.
Girls got dragons, and she almost gets killed by some old ladies.
No way she puts down the slavers in Mereen and gets to Winterfell by next episode.
Seems that everyone who has ships wants to make a deal, wouldn't it be a hoot if she somehow captured the slavers ships?

Could absolutely imagine that in a western with a nameless gunslinger.
