I can get sugar for $18.59 US for 50lbs at a local Restaurant Supply store. Works out to $0.82 US a kg.
AU is close enough to $1 per kilo retail stores.

Really good for you all, sugar usually is at 1.19 EUR ~ 1.61 USD ~ 1.76 AUD per kilo around here.
