Hey guys,
I've been using punkins oak dominos since i started this journey and all i can say is i've been really happy with them.
I think i now may be at the stage where i want to try and get my drinks as repeatable as possible. I currently just shove 1 x oak domino per litre of 65%. THe lengths can vary per domino. I'm thinking i'm gonna get into 'weighing' them.
What do you guys do to keep repeatability at its best? What's your suggestions on dominos/chips/whatever you use per L of spirit?
Cheers all!!

hi jonno. I too use punkins toasted dominos in my dark spirits. Brilliant in AG bourbon or UJSM. The vanilla / maple comes on strong in a the early life of a rum, so I find rum is best to be aged for a long time &/or use either another oak or a mix of oaks for rum.
I use 10g per litre @ 65%
Croz is right about the rum, it takes longer to loose that 'bourbon' flavour and have the mollasses shine back through.
I know stubbydrainer has a calculation where he usues square cm/inches per litre, but i don't know what it is.
I work in handfulls. :))
