So doing a UJSSM spirit run 20L wash 25L 40% Low wines and after 1.5L fores/heads Ive pulled 2L of sweet tasting hearts then the tang of tails is starting to come though. In the past I've gotten a much better hearts cut 4L ish at 93%. Any obvious things that would cause this?? Disappointing after past results. Can lessening the added backset improve this?? this is about gen 10 so up till now its been getting better, should i take half the grub and start over??

High overall temperature or a temp spike during fermentation. What's happened to your ambient temps from Gen 1 to 10?
Summer
Yeah 18-20 to 26-34 temp change
With 12l of alcohol in there i'd be dissapointed in a 2l hearts haul too.

I would put it all back in and run it again but much slower this time... or make UJSSM Vodka out of it ... i hear it's really good...
Or switch to rum!
Rum Rum Rum Rhum me and my drum...
i ran at 1L/H as it was trying to maximise my booty haul. Ive always got rum running up to gen 8 on the rum, tried a straight molasses batch but yield was way down also tried pugirum using only bakers yeast also low yield but different flavour, i love experimenting but disappointing when yield is crap
1L an hour is slow already... i got nothing for ya with that one.. a SD column?
Yeah 4 plates 93% at parrot
