Electric Heating Elements?
just been cleaning out my dads garage (sadly he passed away a couple of weeks ago), he was an electrician and i found a box of these, im guessing they are elements of some kind?..... if so will they be any good for brewing/distilling?... no writing or anything on them. sorry pictures are not the best

My condolences..
They are called finned tubular elements, usually used in air duct heating applications. Some are meant to be submerged in liquid, but it may be difficult to know without any additional documentation. You said electrician - did he ever do any repair on hvac?

Yes they do look like what we here would refer to as a "heat strip" used in HVAC.
