I have a 4" 4 plate ProCap column and can't seem to figure out how to keep a bitterness out of the hearts. The heads come through as heads with no detectable bitterness, but when the hearts really start to transition in so does the bitter. The wash is 100% corn low wines (that tasted wonderful after stripping). I have tried low power, high power and in between, with no luck. Can someone please give me some direction.

When I switched to the ProCaps on my 8" column about 4 years ago I found I needed to keep the top two plates well flooded to keep the tails down.
