196 liters of alcohol very easily goes into 204 liters, just warm it up a bit. Temperature is a bitch. Although, a few ml of underfill will get you there too.

Problem is I’m not sure which.
I thought it was heat but caught a miscalibration in the bottle filler. Thought I had it fixed.
@DonMateo going well mate, just moved into a bigger premises and have a new product about to hit the street. Everyone's really excited about it.
As always cashflow is a constant challenge - especially with the ridiculously high excise rate we pay here. Currently its $85.87 / litre of pure spirit which comes to about $24 per bottle of 40%!! That means you can buy aussie spirits cheaper in the USA cause excise isn't applied to exports - just crazy. Don't get me started on the different excise rates charged for beer vs wine vs spirit...
Wow. Here it is around 35% and a GST but most alcohol transactions are done in cash and there is no value indicated on the cost of alcohol. As well they are trying to get exemptions for the 35 % for small distilleries. Anyway I am here in Peru dreaming of making booze.
This is a real duh moment. Before I left my house I milled some Triticale and started trying to cook the shit out of it. I put it on the stove and got it boiling away. Boiling boiling boiling it was. My temperature gun said it was only 94 degrees. It was boiling boiling boiling and after an hour I thought, Ok its been boiling. So I cool it down and chuck in some enzymes and then some yeast. And a little bit of action but not much. Then finally the penny dripped. My house is at 950m elevation. The temperature of boiling water at that elevation is only about 94 degrees. Dooopp.. So I am off buying a pressure cooler. Thats going to work.
Thanks @crozdog. The last time I tried that it didnt work but next time I am around my stills and fermenters I am going to try it again. It should work just as a straight adjunct.
I confess I am fucking bored sitting in a cube farm. Still the pay is good. I would rather be making booze. Nothing like the smell of a good open top ongrain ferment.

@DonMateo triticale has a fairly low gelatinisation temp (59-65C) ie similar to barley. Not sure why you are wanting to cook it at such a high temp...

I spent the weekend with Frau Fabissina.
(seriously)
I'm more like I am now than I was before.
The mind boggles. Frau Farbissiner and Mr Farbissina together perhaps.
Seriously? Spankings?

Actually Herr Farbissina is a double wrong as the male version is farbissiner and the female is Farbissina. The Frau in HER case was her first name.
I wonder as you are using a different spelling are we on about different topic.
Gunna have to search Frau Blucher as no idea. Just did. The stickie horse scarer. Forgot that one.

As you can see, jealousy is not pretty.
