My probe is too big!

How often have you been told that guys? budda-bing!

I need some help. I thought I got the right ones but these appear to be too long.

I have a probe port in a 2" cap in the kettle and another in the 4" to 2" adapter that sits on top of the deflag (all SD parts).

The probe fits well in the 2" cap, but is too long (insert penis joke here). The thermocouple is too big for the 4X2 adapter to fit in at all (insert 2nd penis joke).

These are the thermocouples I purchased:

I bought a heap of them also but mine were 3mm that i seal with a 3mm double olive compression fitting on the shaft itself. Looks like you got a chunkie.

Could not figure how to link it in the short time i had. Ebay numbers 381019882519 for probe at around $4 inc postage and 161113543306 for the double ferrule compression fitting again about $4 inc postage.

These are 3mm and tested out excellent but you need the yellow plug if you are putting into a meter as they are screw terminations.
