Well I got a bag of white powder in the mail with my still I got from @punkin. I been looking at it for a few weeks now wondering what type of white powder it is. I recon it has something to do with yeast. Yeast nutrient.
Never used it whats the best way to use it ??
Thanks Drunk

Sorry mate, it's Dap or Diammoniuom phosphate. A common food grade yeast nutrient. Use a teaspoon per twenty litres to give your yeast a head start. You should have enough to last you a long time.

Rack a few lines and let me know if it is good. I got a big bag too ;))
Probably not the best idea, it's basically food grade fertiliser.

No worries mate, it's often used in the Yeast Bomb for rums and especially for sugar washes or other washes low in nutrients. Not so much in grain washes.
It will speed up your fermentation and give cleaner results.

Dap works real well. I have a bag and i use it in all my sugar washes. Smallest bag the brew shop had when i was there was 5lbs. So i ended up with enough for a long time.
