I've picked up a 2000L insulated tank that was previously used to store hot water.
The inside of the tank has a lot of rust deposits from the hot water. I've checked that the inner tank is stainless. The previous owners were using a cast iron water heater, hence the rust deposits.
I've cleaned up the stains on the outside using CLR and a sponge. I want to use CIP or hosing of chemical over the inside to do the cleaning as I don't want to get inside. The fumes from the CLR when doing the outside were bad enough.
Does anyone have any suggestions for chemicals or products I can use to clean the rust stains from the inside of this tank?
Once clean I will be using it as a glycol tank
