For making gin, put it in the boiler or the gin basket?
The operational manual for the gin basket says it should go in a bag if putting the basket since it will clog up the holes at the bottom of the basket.
What are people on here doing?

i put it in the basket. Have never had it clog the holes
Yep I just put it in the basket with the other botanicals. Never clogged on me.
I've never seen the powder. What we get is sorta small chips.

I put mine in the basket on top of my juniper and coriander. I usually pack my baskets by grade with juniper, coriander at the bottom and the more powdered botanicals on top. No clogging.
Thanks.
@zymurgybob, I think you are thinking of angelica root.

OK. I've never seen it like that before. Always assumed it needed to be ground.
