Hi everyone :)
I was wondering if someone could help me choose what’s parts I would need.
I was looking at buying a water distiller from Amazon so that I could reclaim the alcohol I am using to make tinctures (save money) but they are quite pricey for what they are and I realised I could buy a start up still instead for just a little more money.
Buying a pot still configuration would give me a lot more options in the future , as eventually I could use it to make my own alcohol as well (win win).
I have two beer kegs I acquired for the future but at the moment I would like to attach a 1 gallon vessel to the configuration to reclaim my alcohol and also I would like to fill that vessel too with 35% vodka to make 95% alcohol as it is hard to purchase that where I live.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated, I realise this is not the normal run of the mill question for you good people but in the future I would like to expand this system to do normal runs too.
Sorry for all the hassle,
happygolucky :)

Thank you for helping me make my first post better , I’m feelin the love already :)>-
Ah sure, I would recommend turning your keg upside down, and using the factory ferrule for a drain port.
Then a 4" ferrule cut in (and welded) to what is now the top side of the kettle.
So a 4 x 2 reducer, a pair of 2" elbows, a 2 x 20 PC, and a 2 x .75 reducer.
Just a few more fittings for your irritation, drain, and element ports.
Your area SD rep should be able to help you. Where do you live?

Hi , I live in Europe .
I did send an email to the StillDragon people , but they said they were unable to answer and I should ask my questions here
Thank you for chatting with me :D
At the minute tho I only wish to reclaim my alcohol from my alcohol wash , and also to turn 35% shop bought vodka to 90/95% alcohol
The beer keg would be too large for me to use for this until i get properly into distilling

Oh you'll need more than a pot still to get the proof up that high.

Do you think that is the best configuration for me to attach a 1 gallon vessel too , to reclaim my alcohol , and also to start me off with proper distilling with a keg in the future ?
Also can you recommend the appropriate electric heater I would require for that setup with using it with the keg please :)
if you want to go down a bit in size, the 2L glass lab stills talked about in this thread make some really cool extracts...
Thank you , I’ll look into them :)
