Just got an electric parrot and I love it. I will be assembling a vapor management still next week and wanted to ask if it should go before or after the valve on this setup? Thanks.

After.
It could go either way, when i built VM's i always had the vapour temp sensor on the bend before the valve. That's where i would put the electric parrot.

If you can put it in the takeoff arm before the valve that would be great. You don’t want chilled liquid reflux dripping on the probe, it would skew your reading
I can put it either way. And if after it would still be on the horizontal.
After the valve won't give you a correct reading if the valve is closed is all. This temp reading is important because as you stack the fores and heads the temp actually goes down a little as the vapour gets richer in low boiling point volatiles.
If you don't care about that reading it won't matter i guess.

Yes, I care about it. Before it is then.
