I bailed out of Miami this morning, no way was I going to risk staying any longer and possibly getting stuck. Was in the B evacuation zone, sandbags started going down when I left for the airport.
We made it, no power yet, expect it this morning, actually lent my 40 year old generator to a friend with 5 freezers at his restaurant and it saved all the good cajun food stuff like alligator.. I had a rum wash, but you ain't gonna hurt that with no Air Conditioning... 7 breweries near me, if they lose a batch, I will pay them for the grain and take the slightly off beer to distill, after all, that is how i got started......
we go power back after 4 days of being out, I obviously had to throw out everything in the fridge and freezer...
Hey @Smaug! you know what two things are indistinguishable by appearance in the freezer when thawed and refrozen? The red juice from a Popsicle and the red juice from a bag of raw chicken wings... HAHAHAHA

That 600# of propane came in handy did it? Did you thank the wife for insisting?
She doesn't know one way or the other. Based on the past,,we knew we needed two weeks worth of fuel....
We only lost power for a night at the house. But it is so reassuring to know that we could get along if we had to.
That Cat5 we had last year was bad news. Two weeks without power at the house, just two miles from power plant. Ate MRE's for a long time. Glad there are no guns in Fiji. Everyone just pitched in and got er done.
Wouldn't wish that on you. Nice to hear you could help your brewery bros if they need it!!

Hope everyone is OK and braced for it.

Glad to hear you made it through, when they predicted Irma would come up the gulf coast, I was worried for you.
Hey, I was worried for me... but hey, on the mobile home factor index, I think it barely made a dent... 99% probably still standing in FL...
All good here. No power at the shop still. But do have power at the hoose.
