Really just meant did you like it. Pisco ,Cachaca, Singani even white rum and to an extent tequila are all drunk in a very similar way over in those parts. I would like to mix up the same drink make from all these to see what i prefer. Silly really because then environment of partaking plays a part. They are all made from whats available locally but just happen to be mixed similar.
In Aussie from Dan what would you rather get for Christmas DiplamaticoReserve Exclusive Ron ZacapaSolera23 or Havana Club ( actually this is not in the same price range )
Did a draught G&T for my neice's wedding. Prepared the gin with a blush touch to it. Bottle shows some of the gin (69%). Prior to dilution. 50L went in 1 3/4 hours. Brilliant.
Thought so, cheers! I'm noticing a trend for barreling at lower proof.
My assumption would be it brings on less oak but it seems to be the opposite, the spirits that I've seen that do it seem to be quite young and very dark.

And on the other side of the color spectrum, our white rum - aged 9 months in ex-Bourbon barrels. Decolorized to be as white as it can be without losing too much oak character. It's a nice platinum color, light straw.
The geometry of the bottle makes it look darker, in both cases.
The bourbon was 103 at dump, so pretty minor dilution to bottle proof of 90, which I think adds considerably to the color. Also, the 18% angel share as well.
Postman just dropped of a wonderful gift from one of my customers of three gins. Really nice bamboo presentation pack with comprehensive tasting notes, i have a big grin on my face when i look at it.

@Smaug .Did you warm to this cachaca brew?
I just tried Jamesons honey Whiskey. I didnt like it. I would advise anyone else to buy it.
If I understand you correctly,,,,I like it better than the molasses based spirit.

Very light, some residual sweetness and great smokeyness coming through. Best mezcal I've had so far
It's enough time - with a shot of rum! Perfect pairing with snow outside

HC on the rocks with a twist of lemon...indeed
The zacapa is a winner but I got one already so I'd proli pick the Diplamatico.
I tried the HC once but it was soaked into a baba
Zacapa or Diplomatico for sure

Me too :)
Must be aged in very small barrels?? If it isn't top secret, what is barrel proof??
110 proof in 10 gallon - these two were 12 months and 13 months.
About 18% angel share.
