It looks like the default rods for the baby dragon are set up for four plates? Is four plates the recommended max or could more plates be stacked with longer rods? 6?, 8? 10, or more? Has anyone tried 16 in two 8 plate sections?

As far as rod lengths go....the 4 plate is relatively versitile. So we have those made for this plate count.
I can't say with certainty that anyone runs what you describe.

Yep we have a 4" here with twenty something plates. Same thing, different diameter. So get some allthread rod and go at it.

Not wanting to go off the topic to much but what would the gain be in running more plates? I have to more on order to turn my 4 plate baby crystal dragon to a 6 plate.
Wanting to hit 190 proof in one run.
So to extrapolate a bit Jez, more plates = better neutral.
You can have 8 plates and do one run, or you can have 4 plates, water back down and do a second run to achieve 8 plates.
Now you'll have 6 plates, you can do two runs and have 12 paltes worth or do cuts on the second run, run it through a third time and do cuts again and have a neutral that will amaze your friends.

Having a packed instead of plated column is the best route for neutral, but for my purposes that doesn't replicate my 8" plated still very well. So I want a lot of plates, more than what makes sense for most users of the baby.
@punkin Ok cool if that's the case I'll by some more in the near future:)
Good stuff mate. Your others left today.
