New Barrel
So i just received my new 25L barrel I currently have 50L UJSSM in the second hand barrel that i got from @punkin Its been in there for about 3 months got some colour and nice flavour. If i transfer to new barrel will it over oak the half done UJSSM?? I want to used the 50L for rum as it won't over power the rum. Any hints clues or advice??

you will take a lot out of the new barrel... trust me.... I did that for 2 weeks to 'add a little extra' to one batch, now the next batch put in those two 20L barrels have 18 months and still not as dark as I want.. :-(
Do you fill to brim or leave a small air gap? I'm about a inch from full.
That would be up to you, having a little leeway is useful though and letting the spirit breathe isn't gonna hurt you.
