I'm building a 2" stripper, not to be confused with a midget lap dancer. Everything is cut and drilled, now time to put the TIG to work. Bloody stainless steel, all the tools have to be super hard frigin, tungsten carbide, cobalt, diamond shit crap. Still better than putting scunge through my new Dash :D. Thanks @Lloyd and @punkin. The workmanship and finish of the Dragon components is second to none. You should feel proud of putting together and building such awesome equipment. The welding on my stripper will not be anything like the Dash.

I'm doing a 2" stripper as well, will keep an eye on this one.
As you say, it ain't so easy or so cheap when putting stainless to tungsten tip but kudos to you for making it happen @Mickiboi.
Polishing is a whole 'nother story as you are in the mist of.
SD did a PC for $100 retail and it shocked the world. After labor and materials I think you'll testify why that was such a groundbreaking bargain.
Good on you for doing the hard bit. Few others have even tried.
If I had the tools and bought the stainless I'd still be befuddled how it can be cost effective after the polishing. (Polishing is Much harder than welding).
Good on you for doing it, let us know how it goes.
Polishing????? What is this polishing you speak of @Lloyd???? I'm going to weld it and use it :))
Yes 100 bucks must have been a revolution for a PC. Stainless is very unforgiving to the tools and the fingers/skin. Anyway, lets see what this looks like when I'm finished.
Post yours up as well @TheMechWarrior.
You'll find mine here, @Mickiboi.
@TheMechWarrior I've been following that thread. Mine isn't that complicated. It's just a simple pot stripper to put on top of the milk can boiler or 120 ltrs boiler. It will be interesting to see your one operating.
Really looking forward to this build. Should be done by tomorrow, right?

Getting used to my new TIG. Works nothing like the old one. My little condenser turned out not bad, as long as it doesn't leak I'm happy.
Loving progress
Thanks @TheMechWarrior
Good stuff Micky.

@Mickiboi did you spin those plates down on a lathe?
Thanks @punkin. Still working out new settings on the TIG . The round end plates on the condenser and the top of the vapour tube were trimmed on a guillotine and finished to size on a linisher. I was given the triclover stuff from work.
