Hello all. Greetings from an island in the tropics in the middle of the Pacific. Some of you may know me from Artisan Distiller. I've been lurking here for awhile, learning tips on how to drive my SD flute. Punkin invited me to come over to this forum and chime in on the honey fermentation/distillation thread.
I've been distilling since 2009, making mead since 1990, and brewing beer since 1989.
Minime convinced me to build a 2" inline vapor management column six years ago. Then I built a Walking Wolf inspired angled-headed pot still. Then last spring I bought SD torpedo to mount my VM column on. I was so impressed with that, I upgraded the torpedo to a 4" four plate bubbler. Boy do I enjoy running that flute! Thank you Smaug!
Now I have my eye on the SD carter head gin basket. I learned a lot about gin making at the ADI conference in Seattle last spring and I'm looking forward to trying my hand at it.
Anyway, that is all.
As you were, gentlemen.
I'm more like I am now than I was before.

Welcome @Kapea, good to have a Mead Pro among us, aiming for a full circle of distillates, gotta send a bottle over at some point. ;)

Thank you for the welcome @Moonshine. I'm not a pro, just a hobbiest who has been at it for a while. My hobby distilling credo: Don't sell, Don't get famous.

Well you are famous....
Welcome Kapea.

Welcome @Kapea , have read a lot of your stuff on other sites. May be picking your brain also as I have only done one mead with Tupelo honey and I am interested in doing some more. :-c
Welcome and thanks mate. I believe you will enjoy the sense of experiment and development here and the sharing that is happening between the industry members and the artisan members (and plenty who are both) which isn't found anywhere else i have seen.

Hi Kapea.
Dang it Smaug! You promised not to mention all that stuff that happened down there on the Card Sound Bridge and out in the Glades... Skink is the famous one, not me!

Welcome not-so-famous@Kapea.
Thanks for the welcome guys.
I was just kidding about the Card Sound Bridge stuff. I never lashed myself to the center span of the bridge as the eye of a hurricane passed over. That would be crazy!
