Are you using something like a roll of cotton sheet to wedge between the pot and keg to minimise steam leakage? If not you will end up cooking the corn in a sauna (unless you do it outside) :))
Hey @Law_Of_Ohms , have you ran it? How many watts is the element? Time to temp? you got me thinking into building something similar, perhaps a bit larger.
I was going to ask you about that, with the element in the vertical, this shorter type may be a better option. Very cool. Ah shoots, here I go... looks like I'll dive right in soon as I get home. he he he :D

Good work mate. Craftbrewer 70l pot?
Horrible thing to do to a rare and endangered 18 gallon keg by the way.

4400w, SD controller so I can adjust boil down to a simmer, need to run it again, more corn to ferment :)
I cooked the corn, then added ~1kg of malt barley, put the lid on and left it overnight. (beer guys would have nightmares)

Very nice. Now I am thinking I should build one, beats false bottoms and BIAB's by a long shot.
bit like a normal keg boiler but with the top cut out, should be very easy.
