Hi all,
I've been thinking about getting a pH meter for a while. Can anyone recommend where to get one? What features should I look out for eg replaceable tip with BNC connector? eg pen style vs base unit & a lead?
Thanks Croz

We have talked about it. We weren,t sure how big the demand is.

not sure you need one unless you brew or ferment
I do both.... haven't been happy with how long my TPW ferments have been taking & suspect the pH is dropping... would like to measure it to confirm if that is the case.
I use a Hanna HI 98128 handheld PH meter with Temp Correction. They run about $90. Works well for me to set the mash Ph.
If you are a klutz like me, you'll opt for the base unit and lead type. After spending $300 on 3 meters - all of which I've killed, I've settled for one like this:
Digital pH Meter Water Tester pH Monitor for Aquarium Replaceable BNC probe ATC
Yep, I've killed more pH meters than alcometers. These are as cheap as chips - and accurate enough for my needs, YMMV.
Nice find, Stinger. 30 bucks delivered is not a bad deal.
@stinger Thanks mate, that is one of the ones like i've been watching. good to know they work fine
Hanna, makes some good stuff.
I ended up selecting a Milwaukee pH600-AQ LED
Amazon had a sale on 'em, so It was like 12 USD at the time...
