Just found this and thought it was a nifty idea: St. Patrick's of Texas Winery Equipment Check out the rotating arm.
Looks like a simple racking arm that's kind of standard in conical fermenters.
Not seen it before, I know I've had issues in the past with lees being above my offtake.
Here is a drawing of my little fermenter. You almost never see these racking arms on big fermenters.
It works great. Rotate til you just start to collect anything white then rotate back up a degree or two and let it drain out the clear liquid.
now make that arm fit that nifty new 2" weldless TC fitting, and I can have a racking arm on my 300gal plastic conical
