@FullySilenced has summed it up nicely, CE-marking is not subject of approval, and it's not a safety mark. Right out of my head the pot belly boilers are the only items which feature the CE mark on the type plate. If you build your own still with SD parts, you are the manufacturer of that still, and it would be in your consideration to properly test the unit according to local law and give it a CE-mark if required. There surely is some more info available online, I took a look last year, but mainly dealing with components that issue did not come up any more since then.

I did that too before you came along but it was quite complex for us to do. So glad you have the reigns now @SDeurope. And vending from your sea freight stock must certainly save them tons of money from us express shipping the goods to them. Good on you!

Стандарт Dash2 имеет смотровые стекла фиксированные с tri-clamps, Dash2 СГК имеет смотровое стекло комплекты.

После того, как собравшиеся обе версии иметь такую ​​же функциональность. Большинство клиентов думаю, что СГК выглядит лучше, но смотровые стекла с tri-clamps легче удалить (для чистки). Это действительно до вас, что вам больше нравится.

The SGK Dash is superior to the clamped glass because so many people want to tighten the clamps so much it tends to break the glass lenses. If you decide to use the clamped glass please remember that almost no clamp pressure is needed to make the seal and more clamp pressure only results in glass breakage. With the clamped glass you should order extra lenses.

Two things for our Russian speaking forum members:

1. Our forum language is English. Although posting in other languages is tolerated it should be kept to a necessary minimum. Please keep in mind that online translators (like Google Translate) in most cases do not translate correctly, which is especially true for the Russian language.

2. There are a lot of reasons why prices can not be compared on a global scale. It definitely will be impossible for StillDragon Europe to offer the same prices as StillDragon North America. It's a known fact that everything is a lot cheaper in the USA than in Europe, items found on a European Amazon website often are twice the price than on Amazon.com, and you will never ever be able to get anything as cheap over here as over there.

Just to clarify: No, we can not offer the same prices as StillDragon North America. Europe is in many ways very different to the USA, and there are a lot of reasons why we have a completely different market situation and price level here. I am not going to justify our prices, all I can say is that our prices are carefully calculated with the lowest acceptable markup, and the result has nothing to do with greed of gain, but with proper cost accounting including all the extra expenses we are facing here in Europe.

Russia is serviced by us just fine, but it was to be expected that some folks are going to be upset that they can not get the same prices over here as in North America. It always has been and always will be a problem with people comparing prices between the USA and Europe, which really does not come at a surprise. It's just the way it is.

Its the same all over the world @SDeurope.
Import taxes and VAT, GST, port fees, etc, etc, etc... cost more just about everywhere than USA. Even South Africa cannot vend SD products at USA prices whether by express or by sea freight.
SD USA will not sell into another distributor's territory and even if he did the customer would still face the high shipping costs and the import taxes. So SD EU, you are still cheaper in your territory because of your large sea freight orders.

As long as SDeurope can service Russia better than any alternative then he has the territory and so far no-one else has stepped up with the big bucks necessary to build out a StillDragon inventory to support a multi-country distributorship in his region.

Each region is unique and the demands from each distributor's customers are quite different from each other. Every SD distributor faces a unique set of business challenges.

You guys have no idea how much I appreciate not having to fill individual orders from so many different countries where each has a different set of rules.
From memory, Japan was the most difficult to navigate the goods through customs.
USA the easiest. Everywhere else falls somewhere in the middle.
