Sight Glass Kits

I want to use the brass SGK mated to 3" brass or copper ferrules on a copper column build. I want to solder the ferrules straight onto the column. Can you pm me the glass diameter and thickness.

Can I ask for feedback on these kits, any experience gained, what not to do, any issues with cracked glass in use or are they fairly straight forward? Some folks on other forums have mentioned glass cracking during use - but that was with plain window glass and I believe these are borosilicate.

I don't expect there to be a problem. Provided I remember I am not torquing the screws to 3 white knuckles ;)

@SDeurope - you do have 3" SGK and ferrules in your inventory I hope. :)]

I have not had a customer say they have cracked a SGK window, only when using clamps. Same windows different tensions.
