Hi All, New member from Christchurch, New Zealand. I've been stilling for a couple of years now, and recently upgraded to the modular Still Dragon concept. Currently running a 50L keg boiler on gas with a single 4 inch bubble plate and 900mm packed, 2 inch column. Punkin has been a great help with sourcing parts and his service has been second to none! New in the works is a 30L electric keg so i can still indoors without the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
I'm looking forward to being part of the SD family, and hopefully giving back some, of the information others have shared freely here.
Thanks for having me, Chris/ juanmor.

Welcome Chris. I posted a picture of your rig here the other day as someone was asking about using the sight towers on a reflux rig...

Welcome @juanmor glad you are here.
Thanks Lloyd :) You can blame Punkin - he convinced me to pull finger and stop lurking in the shadows :) j.

G'day Chris, like your rig. I use hybrids often as well. Rossco
Another customer sent me a pic of their column yesterday...

That looks very nice. Can the end user talk about the tee just a bit?

It's just a normal 2" Tri tee with one of these clamp adapters clamped to it.
I've got one of these temperature sensors to screw in to it.
Aaahhh, same as this Rims Cap, 2" x 1/2" Bsp Thread Endcap one?

Sort of. Mine is hygienic so there's no product in contact with the thread. No big deal in a still but it wouldn't be acceptable in the food industry.
I have some new ones too that are the same as that now, one piece ones.

can you explain how it is hygenic?
Mine or Punkin's? There's plenty of stuff online about hygienic design or sanitary design.
That IFM gear is EHEDG certified. Here's a cheesy link that talks a bit about it - There is a sealing rim on it so no Teflon tape and no crevices.
As mentioned before product in contact with thread is a no no.
I'm using the same transmitter for my mash system so I was going for best practices but it was getting too expensive. Home brewing is one step up from agricultural at best.
One large sanitary valve would be worth more than most guys entire set up.
Thanks for the welcomes guys!
Nice still there Jackson, i like the clean lines
Ahh yes, even my flash new ones are not like that. :|
