Artisan-distiller.com back up in read mode.

Hey all, just looking for the Grunne Nuice recipe and clicked on Artisan. The site shows up as a fairly detailed history of our floundering exploits back when all the modern distilling was experimental and we were the mental bit.

    Man this brings back memories. We were the lunatic experimental fringe back then.

    I was there for the first adaptation from commercial bubble tray columns to home use on homedistiller and later on Artisan. We called them 'flutes ' back then. Probably 07 or 08.

    So many firsts were achieved back then by distillers far more knowledgeable than me. :ar! :))

    Pint, @Smaug, @zymurgybob, @Harry, @olddog and a lot of others (fester for one!) who have passed away on the equipment front, the same guys with @Kapea, me and others on the weird ingredients and experimental methods. Never did get around to my cacao distillation.

    Found the start of StillDragon website, January 2011, as Artisan Copperworks, the SD name came later. My trading name back then was Punkin's Brew.

    Yourself included, Sir.

    Just wish we had @grim and a few others from here back then, would have saved a lot of bother like this;

    omg that made me laugh remembering that. I would have loved to see the expression on his face as well as watch him jumping around trying to shut it all down.

    I remember peeking around the side of my shed door, watching to see if my keg boiler was going to blow. It was shaking and screaming from pressure buildup because my steam injection wand was clogged with corn starch.

    Or noticing my VM column spewing hi test out the top from flooding and having it sizzle when it hit the lpg powered boiler.

    The things we used to do in the name of experimentation. :))

    No way, that post was epic. Sometimes you gotta just laugh at the failures.
