Hi,
Everyone, I just got myself a brand new GB4 Gin Basket, really excited to use it, I have a small setup 3 Gallon Boiler, it looks straightforward but I could not find any article on how to run it there is a valve underneath what is it for ? what should be the protocols to run it ? Appreciate any help. So the volume that I am going to run is not much, my gin runs usually take 5 hours max.

@artooks the valve underneath is to drain the "gin juice" that condenses on the botanicals and falls out of the basket.
for 3 gallons, you'll be done in a lot less than 5 hours unless youre running really slow
Drain that "Gin juice" back to the boiler by means of a permanently open connection. Drained to below surface level in the boiler.
To be clear, the offset nature of the design is for those folks that want to keep the botanical oils out of the kettle.
Otherwise an inline spool section with a way to adequately support the filter basket is all that's needed.

We have a dedicated gin still so we use it inline. Reflux drains back into the boiler.
