Looks good, i need an explanation of how it works. Had a guy ask me for a quote for the parts to build 4 of them the other day, just waiting on the 4" x 305mm TC pipe to come in express.
Im hoping my system is a little more basic than that but that is a good example of how this works
i did my first brew through the system yesterday and was kinda busy getting it all finished
I did an American amber ale everything ran smooth except i had some trouble with the power to the pumps mid way through so i had to wire up another transformer(110v-12v)
my video should be ready for viewing some time today
What size tubing is the coil? How long is it? I've been thinking about doing something very similar. If you added two more fittings. It could be used as a RIMS setup to.
I have a 50' and a 20' piece of 3/8" SS tubing. And a jacked up 50' piece of 1/2" SS tubing. I tried to coil the 1/2" for my HLT. And it kinked bad in a few spots. So I'm gona use the 3/8". But I think I can make a couple coils. One for my HLT. And one for a setup like yours. I'm even thinking about making a graham condenser type wort chiller. With it.
@Philter, Gryphon brewing, Nev makes the best beer and he has a good beer site to.
@Prairiepiss, the stainless tube is 1/2" not sure on the length but would have to be over a meter. I chose herms over rims as there is no chance of scorching the wort and herms is just easier and cleaner. I'm not sure on overall cost but came in below my expectations. March pumps will be next. The best thing so far I think is clean up takes all of 5 mins. Thanks it means a lot PP. Would like to see how your going with yours also.
I'm going nowhere with mine. LOL. Haven't done anything with it in a long time. That's the same reason I was going HERMS. You said march pumps. Have you looked at the chugger pumps? Stainless for I think cheaper then the plastic march pumps.

I'm following your build on this one @cooperville. Definitely looks the "ducks guts" with all that stainless bling! :P
Where did you get your s/s coil from?

Just curious of size tube is used in your coil and how you bent it.

Nice kit Punkin. $180 really ain't bad. For what it is. To bad I can't afford one. Will still be building my own.
