Milk Can Stand - Adding Feet
Has anyone added feet to the milk can stand? I'm thinking of adding a conical buffer before I trash the flooring:
It's an M8 thread so looks fairly simple to attach with a joiner nut. I'm checking the heat tolerance, but the max weight is 170Kg. This leaves about 100Kg for everything above the milk can boiler.
This got me thinking about raising the milk can stand on a M8 steel rod extension. It would be nice to fit a 15L bucket under for draining purposes. I wonder at what height the centre of gravity change makes it dangerously unstable, if an M8 rod will be strong enough for the job, but the important trade-off is the loss of headroom on the column.

I wouldn't use rod as a stand, it's going to be a noodle once to get to bucket height, especially with the weight of a full boiler.
Do you have access to 80/20 extruded aluminum parts in your area?
If so, just build a stand out of 80/20 T-slot aluminum channel. All you need is a hacksaw and some hand tools, and you'll have something that looks a hell of a lot better than anything that isn't built by a master TIG welder.

Having wheels is a great addition.
