If I put a couple of copper scrubbers in the vapour path when stripping in my stainless steel pot still do I need any copper in the vapour path for the subsequent spirit run?
Comments
Depends on how much copper you already have in the path. On my stripping runs I have no plates or caps but I do on the spirit runs. Personally I would just use them on the spirit run because I don't like any kind of reflux or stuff in the path of the vapor while stripping. I want everything coming over.
Also depends on how clean your ferment was.

When do i need copper in the vapour path?
When you have a product that smells, usually rotten eggs, vegetable smell.
If you don't have a problem you don't need to fix it.

Thanks folks, great comments, things to consider now. The only time I has a smelly wash was with a turdbo recipe.
Makes sense.
