Congrats to Mike Cotherman on a successful release of batch #1. I visited Mike today and had a fantastic time. Really enjoyed chatting with you and thanks for the tour.
Mike was running a stripping run on his 380L boiler and his 8" Crystal Dragon. What an amazing set up!
I was able to purchase a couple of bottles, Number 40 for @Manofconstantsorrow and number 43 for my cellar.
If you happen to be in the area, stop by and piss on Michael's toilet, I beat @Smaug to it. :D
Thanks for the hospitality and I look forward to visiting you again soon.
Does any one know how to get a hold of MOCS? @Manofconstantsorrow ? other than on here. Maybe you can ask him to get in touch with me. I have a prezzie for him.
Awesome. I'd love to get a first run bottle. Maybe you could keep it safe in the back room for me? Let me know the sticker price and I'll send some cash. I'll be down in Jacksonville in April, but no way I'm making the hike. For sure I'll be down in either Orlando or Tampa at least once in the next couple of months.
OK, due to FL law, I will buy them myself or have a friend buy them, they have to be purchased in a face to face transaction in the distillery gift shop. Probably have 6 left out of the first 'batch' (bottling run taken out of bond). We are doing $30 for a bottle actually 29.91, so with tax is $32.00... Batch 2 will be better due to hoochy's input on taking cuts...
727 is our area code, our county is on the background image, it got a new area code the same year moved here, 1998.. they are 'crown cap swing top', bn-30 i think is the part number from united bottle. a pallet of about 1000 with a box of swing-tops was $1600 delivered.. I will eventually get a custom version with 'Dunedin, FL' in the glass on the side, a slightly different shape, and custom bottle caps, similar to rogue spirits...
If so, cool.
I've recently gotten into the habit of labeling files, drawings and even booze as year month day.
Example is BDglaParV8 20141106 (Baby Dragon glass parrot drawing number 8 on Nov 6, 2014) or 62% corn 20141027 (label on jug to describe mostly corn product distilled Oct 27, 2014 and stored at 62% ABV).
Habits help to keep me less disorganized.
"We’re going to make whatever the fuck we want," said Ryan Cherrick, co-owner and co-founder of Branded Hearts Distillery. "It’s not enjoyable to play it safe," mirrors Josh Nichols, co-owner and co-founder.
unfortunately due to using hand blown bottles. we couldn't calibrate our filling machine correctly. So a quick stop down to wally world and a cheap solution is born.

727 stands for July 27th?

I also like those swing top bottles!
For that same bottle we are paying near $30 in excise. ; (
they look even better painted!
Ok so this quote is the most awesome quote ever.

Wonder if they are a Sugar Daddy customer?
Yes I do believe so.

They had me right up till
I wonder if some of the wonderful flavors come from the plastic :-O
The Oregon fill level seems a bit rogue. :)
Well large format barrels do get spendy and can also have a substantial lead time.
I can only imagine they have $pent a ton of dough by this point.
Just sayin.
