What can I do with my not good tasting alcohol? I have oak soaking in this alcohol. Is that still OK to put back in the wash?
That's what I do with my failed experiments

Do it helps the next wash do you get more out of the next wash. Do you put it in..... at the start or.... just before you distilled
Add it immediately before distilling, not during fermentation. You will get a greater product yield as a result.

Ok so right after fermentation has stop an right before distilling....
Is it still ok with the oak already started to colour it.
The oak color shouldn't matter a whole lot.
Most of the oak flavor will stay behind in the boiler from my experience.
Yes, but the wood flavour will come through, like sucking on a paddle pop stick. If it's not too heavily oaked or too much volume it may not matter.

Also, you didn't describe the off-taste .. Scorching, over oaking, are but a couple of things that may not disappear after distillation .
