6 kg Sugar
100 g Tin tomato paste
20 g Lavlin DV-10 (all i had, will try ec-1118 next)
15 g DAP
2 g Epsom salt
500 ml can of energy drink
2 tsp of citric acid
27 L wash @ 1.090 / inspired by Jim's Energy Miracle-Gro Wash
(I wanted to speed up the ferment even more so did a sugar invert - if lazy or time strapped skip this)
(sugar mix tasted like the candy on candied apples)
Let her ripe......
This is the first time I used an energy drink, wish me luck!
Potential ABV ~ 14%

Nice recipe and procedure, LOO. Let us know how this turns out.
Talk about instant fermentation!

ok, so not turbo, doesn't seem to be any faster than a regular TPW

I'm doing my first TPW today so I guess I'll stick to the original recipe. I'm looking forward to comparing the results to my usual Vodka Star sugar wash. Here I couldn't get the EC1118 yeast so I just chose a sachet of a Champagne yeast instead.
Even though you didn't find a 'Turbo' speed increase it'll be interesting if you notice any other differences especially in the final result.

Add a can of energy drink and some epson salt and your good to go ... red bull maybe ...
@Damo
EC-1118 = Red Star Pasteur = Champagne Yeast
I use them interchangeably.
LOO, maybe you forgot a few ingredients? GM grain, steroids and Viagra? =))
And a little Lou Rawls music to get the yeasties in the mood.
Watch it with the viagra, too much and you might end up straightening out the 180 degree bend at the top of your still!

its pretty much done now, 5 days. 14%

@Law_Of_Ohms just wondering how the turbo version turned out for you
um, fail not so much a turbo.... maybe its the yeast, should try bakers yeast next time

as you know the yeast count will be important for such a high abv wash
what yeast did you use?
Any of the distillers yeasts should chew through that lot. Although there's nothing wrong with 5 days till clear.
