I found a heap of these down at the tip today.
I guess the old steel ones could be a thing of the past in a few years. What could these poly ones be good for I wonder?
my friend that owns St. Somewhere Brewery started using these over the 'pubkeg' poly units, he likes them... he said these are tougher to get apart for anyone to re-use, but less liability in them coming apart. He buys them by the pallet, I think he said $12-$15 each or something like that

I haven’t done any yeast prop at home but I helped out on a yeast prop plant for one of our major brewery’s here.
It all started with a Carlsberg Flask and lots of steam then I think the yeast sample was injected in through a Keofitt sample point.
Keeping it all aseptic without heat might be a challenge.
