Looks very much like a training still to me.
There's a reboiler; a downcomer trap; a valve tray; a sieve tray; a bubblecap tray; a disc & donut; a catalyzer; and yes the product condenser is coolant in tubes and vapor in shell.
It's similar to one I built many years back using lamp glasses, for just that training purpose.
Can anybody shed some light on what type of condenser this column uses as a reflux condenser/deflegmator? Its hard to see what it is in these pictures. Looks like some kind of a plate?

Interesting, never saw a valve tray in a beverage still before.
I don't at all understand the point of the class outer shell on the product condenser. So you can watch the shell full of water?
I think the condenser may be reverse, and have water in the tubes, see last pics of back.. will ask
Ah ok, then at least there would be something to watch :)
Yeah, It looks like cold fingers. And they don't seem too concerned about copper on the downside.
A pretty column, but it seems a bit over-engineered to me. Unless you're going Steampunk... :-B
A display at the ADI conference?
I'm more like I am now than I was before.

Yep, it's got to be to demonstrate the different behaviors on different plates. The boiler is tiny for the column size.
Pretty little thing though.

Interesting reflux condenser (plate?).
I'm more like I am now than I was before.
Nice bit of kit, I'd have it, not sure I could afford it though!
Almost seems like some kind of trade sample/salesman unit. @Harry probably right on. Maybe a one off?
It is at 'Moonshine University'...
Moonshine University sounds like my kind of place :-)
Check out the botanical library (and Clay from corsair in black)

Harry do you run that system any more?
Do you recall where the videos that Decoy did can be found?
