  • Usually around 40-50 mbar.

  • Standard ISO KF vac clamps are almost identical to tri clovers. The seal has a steel reinforcing ring though.
    Standard sanitary clamps don't have much to prevent the seal being sucked in.

  • Vacuum grease on teflon gaskets work fine w/ triclamp. I'd recommend bolt down vs. screw, and realize that the gaskets will be one-time use, as they'd likely deform to the point that they'd be leaky on the second use.

    IMHO - You'll be boiling at room temperature way before you get to the point of gaskets being an issue.

  • I recommend super-lube food safe dielectric grease, it's NSF/H1. A tiny, tiny bit goes a long way, you are not lubing a transfer case.
